conversations surrounding the death of former president, Muhammadu Buhari.
The former President died at a clinic in London on Sunday, July 13, and is expected to be buried at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
In a viral video, Seun not only condemned the celebrations by some Nigerians over Buhari’s passing but also claimed that the Federal Government had been covering an outrageous monthly expense for Buhari’s medical care in the UK.
According to Seun Kuti, the youngest son of music legend Fela Kuti, Buhari received luxurious medical care abroad while many Nigerians continued to struggle with an inadequate healthcare system at home.
He said; “I heard it somewhere that while he was in the hospital, where he was for months till his death, the Nigerian government was paying 3,000 pounds monthly till he died. He was taken care of by Nigeria till his old age.”
